People responded to me doing Laundry as Public Interaction Performance Art where I talked to the people I met about how I got this Ten Dollar Nanogrant to do a couple of loads of laundry and talk with people about Public Art, Money and the Economy and how they all interconnect and how doing laundry and sharing Ideas around Economics and Money can become art, with collective smiles and agreements that of course everybody has to do laundry and that I as an Artist deserved to win a grant to do mine!
Additional comments as follows: Regina says I should meet with our Mayor about getting more money to do more laundry as art and she can help me set up the meeting and that many Latinos are surviving by going to the Dollar Store and buying a dollar and twenty-five cent Italian laundry detergent to use to do their laundry. She also said that mixing hydrogen peroxide and baking soda would get the mold out of my comforter.
RHM says Humanizing everything we do including doing laundry and making art is crucial and agrees that Humor is the Big!
MN says he wants Public Laundry Tie Dyeing Stations.
And that's about it from doing Laundry as Art in Santa Fe, where the Women are gorgeous, multi-talented and thrifty and the Men are buffed and dedicated.
